The singer Beyonce Knowles is a very famous singer who everybody has heard of these days and she is very popular. She is also a very famous artist, a fashion designer and an actress. She was born as well as raised in the city of Houston in Texas and gained fame in the 1990’s. At this point in time she was the leading vocalist of the renowned pop music group Destiny’s Child. Later during the era of 2000, Beyonce started her own solo music career.

 

While Beyonce Knowles became famous as the lead singer of Destiny’s Child, the release of her first album entitled, “Dangerously in Love” in the year 2003 took her to heights unsurpassed by several musicians in American music history. This album is one of the highest selling music albums of all time. A few of the popular tracks of this album include Crazy in Love as well as Baby Boy. Her second album, which was released in the year 2006 and was entitled B’Day gave her success that surpassed what she had achieved with the release of her first album. Her second Album, B’Day which was released in the year 2006 brought ever even more success than the first album. She has achieved Grammies for her solo music career as well as for the music that she made as a part of Destiny’s Child. To date Beyonce Knowles has won as many as sixteen Grammy awards as both as solo artist as well as one of the members of the renowned pop group Destiny’s Child.



The singing sensation Beyonce has also achieved fame as an actress. She had quite a major role to play in the movie Carmen. This movie was released in the year 2001. Thereafter she appeared in some major Hollywood blockbusters such as Cadilliac Records and Dreamgirls. Her role in the film Dreamgirls resulted in her being nominated for two golden globe awards.



In the year 2004, Beyonce Knowles made her foray into the fashion world. She opened a fashion line known as House of Dereon with her mother. She has endorsed a few very well known fashion brands like Armani, Loreal, Tommy Hilfiger and Pepsi. In the year 2010, Beyonce featured in the list of most successful celebrities in the whole world compiled by Forbes. She ranked second on this list. She ranked first on the list of most influential musicians in the entire world, also compiled by Forbes in the year 2010.
